Bringing the Outside In . . .

How to decorate Tuscany Style?

Found this on ehow - so helpful!

Tuscany is a great place to travel to and is also a great style for decorating your home. Many homeowners like the Tuscan decorating style as it combines uniqueness, subtle elegance and simplicity. Tuscany decor, which is an Italian country design, brings the outdoors inside using a palette of earthly tones.

Decorate Tuscany Style With Old World Lighting
You also want to be sure to get appealing lighting for your Tuscan decorating style. Buy lighting that is of an antique or rustic style to add appeal to your decorating approach. If you are going for a somewhat elegant look, you could try crystal lights with prisms, but a more country approach begs for simpler lighting with more of a rustic Tuscan feel.

Create a Natural Look with Tuscany Decorating Ideas With Fabrics
Tuscan decorating fabrics help create a natural looking area. Use fabrics such as savannah and tobacco cloth, Abaca fiber, or fabrics made of burlap. The versatility of these fabrics can be used to create blinds, place mats, floor mats, curtains, dividers, and anything that is creatively and uniquely yours.

    • Use Various Textures for Tuscany Style Flooring Ideas
Another component of the room, that will create a natural atmosphere, is flooring. Make use of various textures such as stone, tile, and aged hardwood. Add area rugs to your Tuscany home decor will add charm to the design.

Collecting Samples

Just collecting samples here for our new townhouse!

Here you'll see the granite countertops, the tile for the two upstairs baths, and the paint pallette and backsplash tile.

More to come to keep your eyes open :)

The townhouse itself has a Tuscany flavor . . . lots of warm colors, tile roofs, arch ways, wood beams . . . etc.

So I'm trying to echo that feeling with our own personal choices for the interior.

Here is the color pallete from Sherwin Williams -

It's called Urban Organic, you can click to view online :)

This week’s I Heart Faces challenge is WONDERFUL!
HAPPINESS!
My adorable grandbaby is just happy as can be today - she is enjoying her newly found freedom that comes from scoot/crawling across the floor . . .
. . . and her first time to pull up on something~!   LOL
Not to mention the left over Valentines day balloon and a discovery that from up high she can see all the toys in the toybox - WHAT a choice!!
She is dressed in her Sunday finest - and ready to go to church :D
I captured this photo just before she toppled over -   One of those really precious moments.
